In Awe Of Ireland

IAOI 02 – New Ross

Having driven for a few hours (we kind of lost track of time from looking out of the window at mountains) we saw, in the distance, what looked like the mast of a clipper ship. In true man-navigation fashion we decided to head for the mast, leaving the map and the GPS to fend for themselves, and eventually found ourselves in a beautiful little town called New RossWe decided to stop for a coffee and see what the ship was all about. It turned out to be a replica of one of the ships that brought the early settlers to Ireland and you can find out much more than we can say about it here.

Coffee’d up and some photos taken we got back in the car and headed South-West.
